Kaha Cold Brew is our Cold Brew offering. After many requests, we spent a considerable amount of time speaking with customers, testing various cold brews, and sampling from origins we felt had desirable characteristics for our first cold brew release.

When crafting our Kaha Cold Brew offering, we approached it with the following goals in mind

• A deep, rich, and bold flavor while remaining smooth
• A cold brew with a refreshing pop as opposed to a flat drinking cold brew
• A balance of rich flavor, sweetness, and refreshing characteristics

When we set out to create this cold brew offering, we began looking for coffee origins conducive to the cold brew method of brewing that would provide us with the characteristics we were searching for. Three contenders jumped out quickly: Colombia, Guatemala, and Brazil. Some of the best cold brews on the market use single origin coffees, and after extensive testing, we came to the same conclusion. After sampling our origin contenders, Guatemala shined the brightest with the cleanest and best tasting characteristics when brewed with the cold brew method. Guatemala is known as one of the best producing regions for coffee in the world and is one of the first regions to get the team at KAHA Coffee Roasters interested in specialty coffee.  For all of these reasons, we decided to choose a Guatemalan single origin coffee for our cold brew offering.

*Like other fruits, coffee is seasonal and we love that! Because of this seasonality, we will occasionally switch out a component for another coffee variety with very similar characteristics. By changing the components with the seasons, we are able to offer the most vibrant coffee flavors all year round, which also allows for importing the freshest green coffee possible.
