Sweet Caramel | Cedar | Punchy

This coffee from Sumatra is a way for us at Kaha Coffee Roasters to showcase what an intentionally sourced and roasted coffee from this region can really taste like. There really is no mistaking a coffee from Sumatra - with its low acidity, sweetness and punchy aftertaste, this coffee is a great representation of this region.

We can highly recommend brewing this coffee as both espresso and filter. It makes for a rich espresso and a punchy drip coffee.

Because we want to be offering the best of what Sumatra can offer, we are embracing the seasonality of coffee and only sourcing only the freshet green coffee we can find, which means from time to time we will be rotating what coffee goes into this blend - all for the sake of flavor and freshness!

The Coffee:

Producer: Various small lot holders
Region: Ache, Sumatra
Process: Wet-Hulled
Varietal: Ateng, Bor Bor, Catimor, and Timor
Roasting Profile: Espresso & Filter

Recommended Brew Methods: Espresso Machine, Mokapot, French Press, Pour Over,

*Like other fruits, coffee is seasonal and we love that! Because of this seasonality, we will occasionally switch out a component for another coffee variety with very similar characteristics. By changing the components with the seasons, we are able to offer the most vibrant coffee flavors all year round, which also allows for importing the freshest green coffee possible.
