Dried Apricot | Hints of Clove | Bright Acidity & Pronounced Sweetness
KAHA Coffee Roasters is proud to bring back this amazing Direct Trade light roast from our partners the Granda Family at Siempre Verde Farm in Ecuador!
This most recent crop has a pronounced sweetness which results in one of the most delicate, complex, balanced, and delicious cups of coffee. This light roast really shines with the pour over method (Hario V60, Chemex, Kalita Wave, etc.), the Aeropress, or the Clever Brewer while also tasting outstanding in a drip coffee machine.
Our Direct Trade relationship means that this coffee is produced and processed from the farm directly to the roaster instead of passing through multiple parties who take a cut along the supply chain. This type of relationship means that the farm is able to maximize its profits from the coffee, which, in turn, allows the farm to re-invest the profits into human resources, equipment, and other needs to keep the farm running prosperously for years to come!
The Coffee:
Producer: Siempre Verde Farm
Region: Ecuador
Process: Washed
Fermentation: Anaerobic
Altitude: 1,500m. / 4,900ft.
Varietal: Typica Mejorado, Red Caturra
Roasting Profile: Filter
Recommended Brew Methods: Hario v60 Pour Over, Chemex Pour Over, Aeropress, Clever Brewer, Hario Switch, and all Drip Coffee Machines.
How We Like To Drink It: For getting the absolute best cup from this coffee we like it as a Hario V60 Pour Over, in second place we love it in the Aeropress. We drink it black with no cream or milk so as to let the complex flavors and sweetness really shine through.
